Radio Broadcast Details Buddy’s Incredible Accomplishments

Did you know Buddy the Cat invented the George Foreman Grill and diffused the Cuban missile crisis? Me either!

I was looking through some of my old files the other day when I came upon this forgotten radio broadcast, which provides just a taste of Buddy’s heroics and adventures:

Of course I live with the little guy, so it’s easy to forget how accomplished he actually is. In addition to serving a term as president of the Americats, Buddy has won multiple gold medals at the Olympics, led the New York Yankees to a World Series championship, single-handedly took on the meowfia, and holds the Guinness World Record for most stylishly executed nap.

To me he’s just my Buddy, my fluffy little friend who likes to hang out, meows a lot, and enjoys purring and making biscuits while I rub his head and tell him what a cool dude he is.

Still, it’s nice to know that if I need him to take on evil robots or win a competitive eating contest, he’s got that covered too.

  2. That ‘broadcat’ (sic) made my day – it’s true, Buddy is a true Rock ‘n ‘roll legend, statesman and hot dog eating competition winner – a true God amongst felines everywhere and the saviour of humanity many times over, James T Kirk bows his head in shame at being outdone by his Buddiness !!!!

    1. He’s such an accomplished feline, it’s a wonder he has time to nap on my lap and lounge around the house. A Bella version would certainly include her exploits in spycraft and efforts to undermine Russian agents.

  3. I knew him as an appealing, astonishingly strong, and brilliant cat, but I had no idea of Buddy’s impact on history. He is truly the cat par excellence.

    1. I think the George Foreman Grill will solidify his legacy, for sure. I did more “broadcasts” and will post those too, but first another commercial for “The Most Interesting Cat In The World”: “Tigers come to him for advice on hunting. When veterinarians give him shots, he shoots back. He’s charismatic even while he’s taking a nap. He is…the most interesting cat in the world. ‘I don’t always encounter closed doors, but when I do, I prefer smashing them. Stay Buddy, my friends.'”
