    1. I don’t remember exactly what I did step by step, but I might still have the project file with the layers somewhere on a drive. That was a combination of Photoshop, AI, and a very crappy initial sketch, IIRC.

      That style is really good for print because if you use too many colors or too much detail, it becomes muddy.

  2. I especially like Retrowave Puma and Retrowave Jaguar. They would fit just fine in my wardrobe of cat-themed shirts I bought over the years from The Mountain.

    1. Just checked it out, they have some nice designs. Kind of expensive, but I like the animal stuff. Which also reminds me, I forgot to include a lion design I made about a month ago, so I just added that to the bottom of the post.

      1. Yes, I like that one, too! The Mountain used to be much, much less expensive, $5, $10, sometimes $15. Since 2014 until a few years ago, I bought roughly 25 shirts fom them.

  5. I love “Cat Servant” for the truth it embodies, and “Retrowave Puma” for its startling decorative value. I also really like “Sunblade Buddy” for its vivid portrayal of your master’s imposing personality. I don’t know how you do it (I’m a sad old geezer, and this stuff is way above my paygrade) but I’m well impressed, as we say in these parts.

    1. It’s a combination of Photoshop, AI, typesetting and effects. I’m a middling artist and mostly grew up doing graffiti style stuff and comic book art, but digital tools make it easier, especially for things like lighting and shading effects.

    1. Sunblade Buddy is an image in the style of Bikkuriman, collectible Japanese cards from when I was a kid. One day I thought it would be cool to make a Bikkuriman card of Buddy, then I went way overboard and made a whole bunch of them. I’ll post them here when I get a chance.
