This version was originally made for GEICO commercials in 2011 IIRC, then it took off and became an online chart topper and a club hit. It’s tough to follow Michael Jackson singing the hook on the original, but I like the distorted, filthy synth with its heavy low end as well as the vocoder. I also like the melody of the verses, which is a nice departure.

I like the song no matter who sings it…I used to sing it in the shower & my hubby Paul would practically pass out laughing so hard!!! Cause I am pretty sure he WAS watching me! 😉

Buddy, maybe you need a new security system? You are so very handsome that we all want to watch you all the time. Of maybe big Buddy needs to be more alert and make sure you feel safe.

I considered posting it from my perspective, as Buddy is known to sit in front of me and stare at me for long periods of time. Not sure if that’s an expression of love or attempted intimidation, like “Moar treats or else, human!”
But it’s funnier if Buddy is the paranoid one, and we all know cats like to hide…
