Happy Independence day to the buddies, we are in Apalachicola, Florida celebrating with family and their overlord called Jimmy who is a smooth young tabby and handsome. I brought some of bellas fur as a gift to the locals in honour of this day!
Fabulous country and fabulous holiday – great party and lots of good cheer extended to this brit and his wife.

Has Jimmy let you get your cat fix while away from Bella? I hope you have good weather and had a good July 4th BBQ. Oddly enough, I’ve never been there. Savannah, GA, is about the furthest south I’ve been on the east coast. Watch out for gators!

Thanks, mossbound! I was experimenting with a different way of making images like this: that’s him from one of my favorite photos where he’s standing on the couch and looking at me, composited with the Uncle Sam costume.
I hope you enjoyed your 4th as well. I couldn’t bring Bud to the BBQ because there were four dogs there…ya know, for the safety of the dogs. We don’t want them to get mauled or anything.

It’s so nice to see Buddy looking so extraordinarily dapper for such a meowseculer being in his holiday garb! ✨️ Happy 4th Buddies! You’re both the best Merica has to offer! Oreo seems rather unfazed and has slept thru this holiday… He’s kinda like me, it is what it is, what it is, kinda day. We have given ourself the gift of no news today and I think that we might do more days just like this! Take care boys ✨️🫂✨️

Ignoring the news is smart. It’s all a bunch of brainrotting bullshit, at least mainstream corporate news in the US. I still enjoy long-form journalism, quirky stories driven by intellectual curiosity, and news about discoveries in space, like stuff about the JWST and the new ground-based Rubin telescope array in Chile. The latter just captured images of 10 million galaxies during its “first light” test run about two weeks ago, and the goal is to keep watch over 20 billion galaxies. That’s awesome.
Besides, we can’t do anything about the other stuff so there’s no point in stressing about it.
